OVC Web Forum for Victim Service ProvidersEnforcing Victims' Rights in Court
On December 10, 2008, at 2 p.m. ET, the Office for Victims of Crime is sponsoring a Web Forum Guest Host Session on best practices for enforcing victims’ rights in court. OJJDP News @ a Glance November/December
This issue of the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention's bimonthly newsletter features the Department of Justice’s launch of a month-long media campaign, as part of OJJDP’s Project Safe Childhood initiative to combat the online exploitation of children. The issue also includes features on the new Interstate Compact for Juveniles and OJJDP's Court Coordination Program.

Online Training Self Assessment Tool Available
The Office for Victims of Crime has released a new online Training Self Assessment Tool. This resource will help you and your organization in identifying and assessing your training and technical assistance needs. Use this tool to receive a printable summary of your responses and a list of available resources.

DOJ Launches Campaign To Protect Children Online
The Department of Justice has launched a public service announcement (PSA) campaign to educate parents on the risks children face online and warn potential online predators of the serious criminal charges awaiting those who victimize children. The PSAs were developed jointly by OJJDP and Project Safe Childhood partners.

Discussion on Sexual Assault on College Campuses
The National Institute of Justice and the Government Innovators Network will be hosting a free web chat, "Sexual Assault on College Campuses." The expert chat, to be held December 11, 2008, 2-4 p.m., ET, will be moderated by, Marnie Shiels, Attorney Advisor for the Office on Violence Against Women and include panelists Chris Krebs, David Lisak and Dorothy Edwards, Ph.D.

NCJRS Offers Special Feature on Impaired Driving
In recognition of National Drunk and Drugged Driving Prevention Month (December 2008), NCJRS invites you to view the Impaired Driving Special Feature. This online resource contains links to publications, Web sites, and programs that provide information about impaired driving and efforts aimed at preventing individuals from driving while under the influence.

Domestic Assaults by Juvenile Offenders
This Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention bulletin analyzes data reported to the FBI's National Incident-Based Reporting System by a large sample of law enforcement agencies from 30 States. (NCJ 219180)
